This data set records international decisions addressing aiding and abetting liability in international criminal law. These decisions were collected and analyzed in the course of producing the following article: Oona A. Hathaway, Alexandra Francis, Aaron Haviland, Srinath Reddy Kethireddy & Alyssa T. Yamamoto, Aiding and Abetting in International Criminal Law, 104 Cornell L. Rev. 1593 (2019).
The documents collected and analyzed by the authors include decisions from the International Criminal Court (ICC), International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia (ICTY), Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL), Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), and the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (MICT).
Each case set includes a permalink to the corresponding case overview page (Case Name) and the analyzed document (Document). The data table can be filtered using any combination of filter boxes or sorted by Decision Date, Tribunal, or Chamber. Additional information for each case set including elements, key facts, and key passages can be accessed by clicking on the corresponding Decision Information.
