Scott Campbell was killed in 1982 at age 27; Stephanie Roper was kidnapped, tortured and murdered in 1982 at 22; Wendy Preston was murdered in 1979 at age 22; Lourana Gillis was murdered as part of a gang intiation in 1979 at age 22; Nila Lynn was murdered at a homeowners' assocation meeting in 2000 at age 69. All five victims had surviving family members who became advocates for victims' rights.
